It is that time of year again— The National Sports Collectors Convention aka “The National”!!
MAGPIE will be attending The National, and we have a couple of big announcements to share with the entire community.
First off, we are delighted to present alongside our partner and friend, Michael Osacky, lead appraiser for PSA and PSA/DNA and Founder of Baseball in the Attic. MAGPIE works with Michael when our White Glove clients are looking for USPAP Compliant appraisals. He is an incredible resource, and we hope you will come meet us at Booth 2912!
Over the last year, MAGPIE has established itself as the leading provider of in-person digitization, cataloging and inventory of collectible assets. Based on this work, the MAGPIE platform is a first-in-industry set of software tools and integrations to help individuals, dealers, and wealth managers digitize, understand, and strategize collections from both a financial and legacy perspective.
Leveraging data from multiple marketplaces, aggregators and auction houses, the platform integrates supply and pricing with accounting systems and e-commerce software, so that dealmakers, retailers and sellers can track inventory, price movements and financial position across large inventories of assets. This allows them to save endless hours of employee time spent checking comparative pricing and manage their financial position far more effectively. They also have access to market-wide listing and data analytics for the first time. With MAGPIE, users can tell the story of their collections, understand the true value of what they own, and become part of a community that provides expert insights into the collectibles industry.
At our Booth, in addition to demoing the MAGPIE platform, we will also display cards and tickets from collector Nick Uliano. We will feature some remarkable Michael Jordan and LeBron James cards, including a 1-of-1 Logoman. This display will give collectors and dealers a first hand look at how the MAGPIE platform works. These are NOT to be missed!
Finally, we’re excited to announce one of our industry partnerships at The National. Nick’s cards will be displayed in a Show Your Slabs Smart Display. The SYS Smart Display can now be configured to integrate directly with MAGPIE’s dealer tools in order to make it easier for buyers to make offers, track sales and get your real time financial position no matter where you are.
